Covering the Bow with Stayfast Fabric

A stayfast (rubber impregnated canvas) black soft top was ordered from MOSS in California.  It arrived at my doorstep in Australia within 7 days.  Fitting the MOSS top was made very easy by following the guide on Barney Gaylord's website (MGAguru.com).

In this photo, the initial step of covering the wood bow with the stayfast cloth is shown.

Cutting Bolt Holes in the Fabric

This shot shows the slightly tricky stage of working around the frame bolts and side edge of the frame.

Finished Product

After three hours of measuring, stretching, hand-stapling, inserting lift-the-dots and turn-buttons, the top was up.  It was a thrill to see the finished product made possible by Barney's much-appreciated, well written guidelines.
